Recently, some friends and I came together for the release of our anthology book, “A New Liberty.” This book of protest poetry and stories was created and conceived after the re-election of Donald Trump to the presidency and was our response to it. All proceeds from the book will go to Planned Parenthood of Michigan. I wrote this piece, “The Great Change,” specifically for the book release event and performed it there. The sound was dodgy because I recorded it on my phone, which was a fair distance from the stage. Still, I like this piece.
