BOOK(S) SPOTLIGHT: “RoadKill” and “Roadkillers”

Road Kill“:

“A town with much to hide. A young man with nothing to lose. A past born of blood and built on bones. Even the monsters of Munsonville, Michigan, will fear the fury of a stranger’s vengeance. All that is buried will be revealed.”

Roadkillers“:

“When it comes to family, there is nothing off limits, nothing too far, nothing that cannot be done in the pursuit of revenge and the truth. For Tilling Diem, there is no bottom, just down, down, down. In this rural gothic follow-up to ROADKILL, one man’s search for his own justice will unite him with a power bent on bloody revenge at any cost.”

Here you have two books that form a complete arc, following one infamous family in the town of Munsonville, through a Hell of their own making. In”Road Kill” we follow two friends who are twin flames set to burn down the world. In “Roadkillers,” we see the repercussions of their actions and how their fire sets fire to the town and the people around them. Brutal books, the two peer long and hard into the hearts of bad people and show that there is more to them than just that. There is more to them than fire, anger, and hate.

There is love.

But it is a blood red love, and it leaves a stain that cannot be erased.

If you are a fan of rural, gothic horror with a taste of folk horror, then you’ve found two books just for you. Full of action, vengeance, and things lurking in the deep, dark woods, the books feature characters that you won’t soon forget, and both move at a pace that cracks like a skull.
