This is the arc of a man named Tilling Diem, and his connection to the doom of Munsonville. The first two books, “Road Kill” and “RoadKillers” are a connected narrative about love, loss, cursed history, and revenge. The third book, “In Roots of Ash,” is the story of the woods and the things that live there. Tilling’s story wraps up in this book, though he is not a main character.
