BOOK SPOTLIGHT: “Heedless Reflection”

Heedless Reflection“:

“A monstrous man willing to hold the dead ransom.
A teen boy whose grief is making him dangerous.
Their lives are on a collision course that will welcome both angels and devils alike to see the outcome
And behind all of it a reflection of horror older than God.”

This is a book about grief.

The grief over the loss of a loved on, grief for the self, and the grief of not belonging in the around you.

The story follows two people, both wracked with grief. They are on dark paths, but on both there is a chance to turn back, to head toward the light, one does.

One doesn’t.

There is a sickness in this book, a sickness of spirit that calls to something else, something dark, something hungry, and something more than happy to make promises that have very deadly consequences.

I seem to say this a lot about the books I write, but this is most assuredly a dark story, a mean tale, and one that wants blood.

Some homes call spirits to them, some seem made of memories of the dead, and others, others are made that way, brick by brick, stone by stone, and soul by soul.

Here is a haunted house.

With a haunted person.

And a haunted fate.

Look deep, and tell me what you see.
