“Battle Flag” and “A New Liberty” are special books to me.
They were opportunities not just to put together an anthology of stories with friends, but it was a chance to put words to the fear and frustration we were feeling as Trump took office both times. These were two books that represent our torches against the spreading darkness.
Both books were made possible by all authors donating their work and time in order for all proceeds to benefit Michigan Planned Parenthood. We raised about $400 total over both books, which is a drop of water in a sea, but it was something, and every scream when it is joined can level the tallest mountain.
